Boar Warrior of the North

"It is rare for the tribe leader -alpha boar- to be a female. Her tribe loved and respected the battle ready, hearty, young Mother Boar untill someday they all mysteriously dissapeared while she was out hunting. It was time to embark on a journey in the frozen hills of the North to find and retrieve them..."

Further studying the brush tool. I've never drawn anything as complete as this one with the brush tool before. I really like this more traditional style too, hoping to improve it. At the end of this study i can say;

I payed a lot of attention to things like "reflective lighting" in this one. You can see a bit of cyan in many parts of the Boar.

Im still unable to determine the light source properly, which makes it harder to define the form of the character/object.

I realised that i shouldn't be afraid of very dark shadows and/or very bright lights because lack of them flattens the image.

Metallic surfaces confuse me, i should look for a tutorial or two.

Brush background! BG Done in about 3 hours (the boar took months because of my lazyness and lack of organization). Not bad for my firt attempt? I dunno.

Clouds! By their nature you can get really sloppy with them, im not sure how mine turned out.
